Take on Traffic
Take on Traffic is an initiative of the Austin Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Central Texas business community organizations to support the implementation of a comprehensive, regional transportation system that includes new roads, new toll roads, new rapid bus service and new passenger rail service. AMD was the winner of the 2008 Greater Austin Business Award for large business in the Take On Traffic category. Read the results of the program below. 2008 Strategic Plan
Priority Issues Priority issues for 2008 include supporting improvements to the regional, multi-modal transportation system to ensure a comprehensive transportation plan that supports a robust economy and to communicate accomplishments and influence more effectively in the community. To accomplish these goals the Regional Infrastructure and Development department plan to build support for projects that support comprehensive, regional mobility, provide community leadership exposure to best-practices and lessons learned in benchmark communities and monitor other infrastructure issues for action in support of economic growth. |
